Archangel Gabriel

Description: The sculptural image of the Archangel Gabriel was created by the canons of the Russian Orthodox Church. The composition revives the traditions of ancient Russian sculpture in metal and continues the new trend of decorative sculpture adorned with a unique technique of Zlatoust metal engraving. The Archangel Gabriel is the protector of the glory of God, the guard over the sleeping man, they pray to him from all troubles and misfortunes. When Satan rebelled against the Lord and carried many other spirits with him, then he appeared to be a defender of the glory of God. He collected other angels and kept them in obedience to God. The sculptor created an image of a spiritual entity, symbolizing the elevation of man over everything worldly and vain.
