Measuring instruments certification. Testing and type approval of measuring instruments

The system for certification of measuring instruments was established in Russia in accordance with the Law of the Russian Federation "On certification of products and services". This certification is voluntary, it confirms that the measuring instruments, which are submitted by the applicants, comply with metrological norms and rules. When this System was organized, the normative documents of international organizations such as ISO, as well as IEC, ILAC, OIML certificate system and GOST Certification System were taken into account and taken into account. The system of certification includes, first of all, the central organ of the system - the Metrology Department of the State Standard of the Russian Federation, as well as the Coordination Council, the Appeal Committee, and in addition - the Scientific and Methodological Center - the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Metrological Service or VNIIMS. The System also includes testing centers or laboratories for measuring instruments and certification bodies. The procedure for testing and approval of the type of measuring instruments was approved by the order of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation No. 1081 of 30 November 2009, which entered into force on 26 March 2010.
