Event tourism: Saransk - the jazz capital of Russia

* International festival of jazz music "Weisze-jazz". It has been held since 2002 under the patronage of the Head of the Republic of Mordovia. The artistic director is People's Artist of Russia Georgiy Garanyan. The three-day festival takes place in October in the building of the Russian Drama Theater and the Republican Palace of Culture. Constant participants of the festival are leading jazz musicians from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Chelyabinsk, as well as Estonia, Hungary, Finland, the USA. * International Festival of Classical Music "December Divertissements". It takes place in the Russian Drama and Mordovian National Drama Theaters in December. Conducted by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova since 2006. * International Festival of Classical Chamber Music "Classics, Bravo!". He takes part in the Mordovian National Drama Theater in October. Conducted by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova since 2007. * All-Russian festival of rock music "Evolution". Passes in the sports complex "Mordovia" in September. Conducted by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova. * Republican rock festival "Looking Forward". Selection round is held in February, and the festival in March in the Republican Palace of Culture. All styles and directions of rock music are presented. In nominations the best ensemble, guitarist, keyboardist, vocalist, drummer is selected by musicians for professional recording on CD.
