Description
Date of the program: on request.
Voronezh State Natural Biosphere Reserve named after V.M. Peskova - one of the oldest reserves in Russia.
It is located 40 km north of the center of Voronezh. Among local residents, it is also known as the “Grafsky Reserve” and owes its appearance to beavers. Due to the fact that by the beginning of the twentieth century these animals were almost destroyed. And in the twenties, the expedition found several beaver “huts” on the Usmanka River. Scientists asked the authorities to organize a rodent protection area here. Thus, the Biosphere Reserve appeared.
Now it is one of the most popular excursions for children and adults. During the tour, guests of the reserve get acquainted with the history of this place and its inhabitants.
