Hydrolate is a product of steam distillation obtained by creating essential oils, that is, the remaining condensate. All hydrolytes contain essential oil residues, therefore their properties and effect are similar to the properties of the essential oil itself. Composition: any hydrolyte consists of distilled water and components that are carried away from plant materials by steam during steam or water distillation
