Description
Description:
The sculptural image of St. Sergius of Radonezh was created according to the canons of the Russian Orthodox Church and is a reduced copy of a three-meter sculptural composition, established in August 2014 in Belgorod. The composition revives the traditions of ancient Russian sculpture and continues the new direction of decorative sculpture. For the believer, St. Sergius of Radonezh is the greatest miracle-worker, from whose holy relics many receive healing and help. His relics are kept in the Trinity Cathedral of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, the founder of which he is.
St. Sergius of Radonezh is considered the patron saint of students. They pray to him for the gift of humility and the taming of pride, for help in teaching, for preserving the lives of warriors on the battlefield.
