Author's supervision

Author's supervision - control over compliance with the requirements of project documentation in the process of construction by the person who carried out the preparation of project documentation. Author's supervision is a set of actions performed visually and documentarily and aimed at determining the conformity of urban planning, architectural planning, artistic, technical, technological and environmental decisions and actions carried out by the contractor in the process of erecting the construction site, the decisions taken in the working design of the construction object and fixed in the documentation. It is based on the right of the author of a work of architecture, town-planning or landscape art fixed in the Civil Code of the Russian Federation to carry out the author's supervision of the construction of a building or structure or other implementation of a corresponding project. In addition, the author of a work of architecture, town planning or landscape art has the right to demand from the customer a relevant project for granting the right to participate in the implementation of his project, unless otherwise provided by the contract. In accordance with paragraph 7.6 of the code of regulations of SP 48.13330.2011 "Organization of construction. Updated version of SNiP 12-01-2004, approved by the Order of Ming. region of Russia dated December 27, 2010 No. 781, the author's supervision of the architect is carried out by the author-architect in an initiative order regardless of the decision of the developer (customer) and the existence of a contract for author's supervision of the facility. The territorial agency for architecture and town planning, upon application of the author, having ascertained in its authorship, may issue to the developer (customer) an order to ensure the author's admission to the construction site, the possibility of making entries in the author's supervision journal. Claims of the author-architect on the implementation of architectural design solutions can be considered by the city planning and architecture authority, whose decision is mandatory for the developer (customer).
